In this day and age everyone needs to have a website. At a minimum, have a one page website for either yourself or your business.
My creative outlet is web design and I use a tool called WordPress. WordPress was predominantly software used for blogging, but it is now one of the most popular tools available for designing websites. A one page website is easy. Here are three examples of one-page websites. Please note, each example has dummy text and images:
These examples highlight some of the things we can do to create a one page website for you. The site will be no-frills, but more frills than you might expect.
There are three costs associated with having a website. First is a domain name is $15 per year. The good news is that you get one email address with that domain name. The second associated cost is website hosting, which I will do for you for $150 per year. This is specialized WordPress hosting. The third and last cost is production of the website or website design. My standard website design rate is $100 per hour.
I’m willing to give you five hours of my time on this project for $300. Frankly, I have clients that desperately need a website and I’m trying to help them take this step. That is why am willing to work with you on the price. If you decide you would like a website, a one page website is a great way to get started.
These are the questions I will be asking you when we get started:
1.Do you have a logo? If you don’t, no problem.
2.What are the three key points you want someone to learn when they visit your website?
3.What would you like a business visitor to do when they visit your website?
4.What is your favorite color?
5.Who are your customers?
